Darvall Park is a spacious Denistone park with room for dogs to run off-leash when the area is not in use for organised sport. There is a playground, BBQ area, drinking water and a weather shelter, making it comfortable for a longer visit. The off-leash area is open rather than fenced, so it suits dogs that stay close. A good local spot for an off-leash walk with decent facilities.
Designated off-leash area — dogs may be off-leash when the area is not in use for organised sport (see on-site signage for boundaries). Dogs must be under the control of a competent person, return to handler on command, and be on-leash when entering and leaving the off-leash area. Maximum 4 dogs per person. Dogs must be kept 10 metres from bushland areas and children's playgrounds. (Source: City of Ryde — Dog Off-Leash Areas, ryde.nsw.gov.au.)
I took my dog at this park and it was amazing. There is a big enough for dog to run and play around with off-leash. Also, there is a play ground, bbq area and picnic area. I feel like I will be take my dog regularly this place. I also want to have picnic with families and friends.
Darvall Park is a hidden gem in the suburbs, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the Ryde. The park is well-maintained, with lush greenery, tall eucalyptus trees, and plenty of open space for relaxation. One of the highlights of Darvall Park is its walking trails, which are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a refreshing jog. The trails wind through beautiful bushland, making it a great spot for nature lovers and bird watchers. There’s also a playground for kids and picnic areas with benches, making it an ideal place for families to enjoy a day outdoors. While the park is generally quiet and serene, it can get a bit muddy after rain, so wearing proper footwear is recommended. Parking is available nearby, but it might be limited during peak hours. Overall, Darvall Park is a wonderful place to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy some fresh air. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful walk or a picnic spot, this park is definitely worth a visit.
It is spacious park with nice place with dog waste bins and water tap but kinda hard to find and not many people knows and would like it fenced for safety
It was a nice scenary with all the public necessity. It will be be good to see it restored back to its original nativity
