What people say
Fabulous little park close to everything; transport (buses and Metro), Macquarie shopping centre, offices and houses. Was a great place for our office staff to hold a short BBQ lunch. Note, one of the BBQ surfaces was broken the day we were there. Lots of understandable council exclusions, even though there is a dog water trough 🤔 at the water fountain. Very clean and well featured for children.
Pretty good park, especially for older kids. Lots of quick and winding slides, mountains and stairs to climb, interesting fixtures, swings for toddlers and bigger kids, flying fox, hammock, trampolines, climbing frame and a spinning thing with ropes on it. There’s no fence, and it’s next to a four lane road, so prepare to chase after younger kids. There’s no toilet. Parking was difficult and took about 10 minutes to find a spot on a Saturday. There are barbecues and bins, and a number of places to sit including at least one with shade. One of the slides on the mountain side bottoms out at the end so kids come to a sudden stop if they have their feet down. The metal slide in the main section has a steep component and I saw a number of younger kids fly off the end unexpectedly, older kids had no issue.
A well layed out park with plenty of benches for exhausted parents and carers. Yeah, there's no toilets but you're across the street from Macquarie Shopping. It's a great stop over from the Shrimpton Creek bike trail to give the kids a change of pace and refill water bottles. It's set back far enough from the street where the car's are not an issue. There's also a few big sections of grass and it's partially shaded. There's good community vibe because most visitors are local residents since the park is nestled between several apartment blocks.
It's new, it has slide, flying fox, swings, climb and BBQ stoves. Good for young family outing. Only problem is that there is no public toilet in the park. The nearest toilet is 5 to 10 minutes away in the Macquarie Center.
A good park near macquarie centre. A lot of options for children playgrounds here, where children can play, like swings and slides. They even put a mini flying fox here. And for adults, they can have some comfortable times here, many comfortable seats here, and also a stove to make outdoor barbeque. You should try.
