Dog rules
Dogs are permitted on-leash under the NSW Companion Animals Act. Cumberland City Council's Companion Animals Policy states dogs must be under effective control and on a leash in all public places except designated off-leash parks. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of playgrounds, food preparation areas, sports fields, school grounds, and wildlife protection areas. This venue is not a designated off-leash park. What people say
Spencer Park is a sizable park hidden away with four entry points but only one of which is signposted. The main entry that has a sign is in a dead end street, Spencer St, which is obviously where the name of the park comes from. There are also small pathway entries from the nearby main road (Kingsland Rd) and also entry points from Sixth Avenue and Dire Straits Way, but without any signage, the pathways can go unnoticed The park itself consists of a children's playground with the usual slippery slide and swing set with a few random seating areas scattered around for the adults to keep an eye on the kids. I must say that the equipment looks relatively modern and quite stylish compared to the other playground ones I've seen in the area. Enjoy!
