Remount Park is a dog-friendly park in Holsworthy where dogs are welcome on lead.
Dogs are permitted on-leash under the NSW Companion Animals Act. Liverpool City Council's Animal Management Standard states dogs must be on a lead at all times except in approved off-leash exercise areas. Dogs are prohibited from rivers and creeks, within 10 metres of playgrounds, and within 10 metres of food preparation areas. This venue is not a designated off-leash area. Nice secluded park with very quiet atmosphere and very windy. Went there around 6pm and it's almost pitch dark in winter time. The statue horse name is Sandy and it's the only horse return from World War One in Gallipolli. Sometimes you can see it moving so this park is definitely Spooky and no it's not the wind that causes it. Can hear echo noises around the park during the night. Sounds like foot marching. I like it because it's a historical park. Definitely haunted but it's interesting and doesn't worry me at all.
Recently updated by LCC the park now has clear accessible walkways and seats along the path. All of the War Memorial Plaques have been replaced with new larger ones. Given the Military history of this area and especially this park, it's great to see this information updated.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
