We had a lovely night for my son’s birthday. Food was delish! Comfortable surrounding. The girl who served us was a delight. Highly recommend

We are regulars, the staff are always polite and friendly and the food was great. It was quite busy and the kitchen staff did their best to keep up. The wait from time of order was about 45 minutes however we were politely advised of this at the time we placed our ordered.

Always have a great experience at Lake Macquarie Tavern. The chicken burger is excellent and we love 2 for 1 Mondays. The service is always a highlight too. A special mention to the blonde lady who works in the restaurant, she is always so lovely and welcoming. A reliable spot with good food and friendly vibes. Highly recommend!

Decided to try the Curry Night Special on Wednesday. Really looked forward to it due to the food being exceptionally good since last handover. Unfortunately this time, we were too impressed. We bought 4 curries - Sri Lankan Negombo Prawn - Too salty, Malaysian Beef Randang - was supposed to be 3 chillies hot but end up being quite mild and beef was really tough, 2 Butter Chickens which were on the sweeter side but the better choice. Unfortunately, the price and serving sizes would best reflect a lunch serving with minimal curry to rice ratio. Condiments, Rice & Papadums were really good though. We bought 1 Naan bread to share between two people which was good too. Service is always great here and we gave some of our thoughts to the lovely server on. A few tweeks and the place will be packed like Mondays 2 for 1 special night. Main menu items are always great too!
