Kitchai is an honest gem! As a person who is super picky with restaurants, I can confirm it is a great spot to eat at! My friends and I were lucky enough to be served by Nee, she was so attentive and kind:) We sat outside and it was a nice sunny day so, seating couldn’t have been better, and the restaurant itself is a piece of art! NOW THE FOOD? Omg no notes, it was great! I had the red curry with prawns which was delicious and fragrant! A very enjoyable experience indeed;)
We ordered the Pad thai and it was really delicious. Hardly had to wait for the food to come out as well for a decent price. The waitress Julie was also very accommodating. Will definitely come back when in the area.
The Tom Yum noodle soup was different from the flavor I’m used to.. it was a bit heavy and sweeter than I expected, so it wasn’t really to my taste. However, the green curry chicken was good and enjoyable.
Menu is 100% halal although they do serve alcohol unfortunately. Great service, food was also tasty! Requested for extra spicy which they were able to accommodate.
Compared to other Thai restaurants, the prices were not particularly cheap. Most of the dishes were quite salty, and after eating I felt very thirsty, which made me think it might be due to the use of seasoning. However, the ingredients were fresh, the restaurant had a nice and clean atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. What was surprising was that the papaya salad was not tasty. The sauce was different from other places and didn’t have the familiar flavor I was used to. Although the ingredients were fresh, the sauce lacked flavor. Usually at other restaurants, I pack up the leftovers, but here, even though I had some left, I just left it behind.
