Great hotel in Parkes, NSW, Australia🇦🇺. Very local right in town. The ELVIS festival was great fun to. Lots of people and lots of ELVIS'S in town. Located approx. 400 west of Sydney CBD. Great drive through the Aussie bush.

The room was basic but clean and QUIET.The location was ideal for me as I was using public transport and the hotel is about100metres from the station. Also I was attending conference at the services club (next door). The shared hygiene facilities were clean and the bed was comfortable. However as all the accom. was on the first floor.access could be challenging for someone with walking difficulties. One suggestion to the owner, if they read this, a bench type seat in the shower vestibule would be nice.

Things here are pretty simple…and that’s alright by me. The place is being renovated, so there is no pub downstairs for a meal, but there is one up the road. I was sent an email about access to the property, but I didn’t see it, so I called and was given all the info I needed. The room was basic but had everything I needed. It was clean, had a bed, towels, a TV…and someone has built a bench across the window, which I used as a desk. I slept well, I got cleaned up and I left. I would stay here again. All the best with the renovations.

The pub appears to be closed down for good but the accommodation upstairs is still operating. Just stayed in the cheapest room I could find for the night between big driving days and had a decent experience for the price. The room was fine but the aspect that could be most improvement the most would be the shower area. As far as I could tell every room uses shared bathroom/showing area which could be improved but if you can deal with that I think it's a great place to stop in for the night. The person I communicated with for door codes etc was very pleasant also.
