What people say
Have eaten here quite a few times and never been disappointed. The food is great quality and they are good sized portions at very reasonable prices. The menu is quite extensive so there is a good selection to choose from. It has a great charm and the inside of the restaurant is very interesting. The staff are pleasant and make you feel welcome.
Food was amazing everything was very fresh and all plates were finished with nothing to spare. The cocktails are amazing very well made they all tasted fresh and lovely. I couldn’t fault the service all of the staff were very welcoming kind and vibrant. Service with a smile. Definitely can’t wait to come Back for another meal
Vaby’s restaurant feels welcoming from the moment you walk in, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The food is fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented—the sizzling prawns, paella, peri peri chicken and their signature cocktails are real highlights. With generous portions, fair prices and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal and one you’ll happily return to😁
The share platter was my main (granted it was free of charge at the end due to me not eating). The chicken was dry, the potatoes not cooked, the calamari was mushy. This was $52 not worth it - it used to be large portions better quality. The waitress did an amazing job and I felt so horrible for her as she was the only one waiting all the tables by herself, trying to make sure everything was perfect. My mum and sister both had ribs and they were cooked well but the portion sizes were way off yet paid the same price. My brother in law had a $42 steak that was tiny granted cooked to perfection but tiny as. Won’t be coming back in a hurry.
Having a large menu featuring different cuisines could spell disaster. Yes, I’ve watched too many Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares. However, Vaby’s successfully served delicious food that satisfied us all. Some highlights were: Spanish pork and beef meatballs, pumpkin and goat’s cheese arancini balls and pan fried barramundi. I recommend that you make room for the desserts especially the lemon meringue and crème brûlée.
