Sat here for a few hours during Sydney Streets - Redfern Edition. Bar got very busy, staff were all friendly. Great vibe. No wait for a table, but was with only one friend - we asked to share a table with other revellers and ending up having a totally charming & well-bev'ed arvo with new mates. Peak community vibes! Diversity welcome here.
I recently celebrated my 40th birthday in the Out of Bounds room at The Redfern. All of the staff were so friendly from the first moment we looked at the space until the night itself. A special mention to Jess, the events manager, who was fantastic in her communication and assistance in planning the event, going above and beyond to ensure all went smoothly. The privacy of the room meant I wasn’t worried about the space getting too noisy and hard for people to talk. There was a reasonable room booking fee, plenty of different drink and food options, no minimum spend, as well as options to personalise the space with the existing furniture, additional decorations and own music. I got multiple reports back from guests that the beef and chicken sliders were delicious. A big thank you again to the crew, you’re a bunch of legends!
this place is everything you need for a chill, fun night at the pub. we live near each here and have been a couple of times in the past month. the staff are SO kind and accommodating. they are always looking for the best for their customers!! 10/10 recommend!!!
Great pub, one of my favourite places to go to. Really great service from the staff, friendly and easy to talk to. Fair prices for most things across the board. My only issue is the consistany of the food. I have been dissapointed by the food a few times, but have been blown away at the same dish a week later.
Unfortunately I have to post this mid dinner at the pub due to the treatment we received. I have visited the pub severally before, and the food and service has always been great. However, tonight the service has been deplorable. I wanted to try something new and ordered their noodle salad, and something was off in the salad, making it not palatable. I explained this as soon as I could, and apologised for any inconvenience. The waiter seemed lovely and offered to change my order. Being considerate, I ordered something within the price range of the salad, double checking the contents and was happy. This was prepared and offered, and said my thank yous! Now I don’t know if I can choke it up to age/professionalism or poor customer service but the waitress went behind the bar, in earshot and discussed this, and the whole evening, glared at our table each time they pass. Wait, not just her, but her colleagues as well. No one likes returning food! It’s a nerve wrecking process! But the above experience made it more uncomfortable than it usually is. Date: 26.09.2025, around 6.30pm. Safe to say this will be my past visit.
