Warning: RACIAL DISCRIMINATION!! My father has lived in this area for over three decades, and has frequent this establishment for 10+ years, this is an important place to him, and he has been going here weekly, and I’ve also frequented with him as a child. We have never had a problem until recently, we love this place. However recently there has been a staff member (a manager) I don’t know his name yet, but I will come back with an edit of his name. Who has noticeably treated my dad and his friends differently, and we can tell race is a factor. 1st incident: my uncle asked this manager to changed the sports channel to soccer as no one else was watching what was currently on screen. The manager denied him rudely. HOWEVER, later on a white couple came in and requested the same thing and he immediately changed the channel. As my uncle, dad and friends weren’t able to convey their frustrations properly due to lack of English. They had to endure that experience, and my uncle just avoided that ONE manager altogether. 2nd Incident: With the same manager, on the 13/12/25 approx. 9pm. My dad along with three other friends were hanging out there and one of them fell asleep. He was then kicked out the three remaining people were still a bit buzzed but still quite sober. They were not in any trouble or capacity creating trouble, the one that fell asleep left so the remaining people stayed cos they wanted to drink more. This one manager refused them service even though they were drunk, citing the pub policy if one person was refused so is the rest. We understand that there is a policy but along with that there was security intimidation. We have NEVER experienced this in the 10+ years we’ve frequented this establishment and no one has made such a big deal out of one person slightly nodding off. I believe from what my dad and uncle has told me about their experiences. Along with other people corroborating the same discriminatory attitude the manager has displayed. That there is racial discrimination going on. I will be filing a complaint and escalating this, my dad while not speak perfect English has done his due diligence as an Australian citizen, worked and paid taxes. There is no reason in his old age he should be experience this. The way the manager made my dad and his friends felt was absolutely uncalled for. And I will definitely be pursuing this until I have an answer.

The customer service at Chester Hill hotel is atrocious, I have never encountered such an unfriendly and unhelpful staff. I have been visiting this hotel for 5 to 6 years and I have never had one positive interaction with them they are constantly rude and vulgar.

First time I’ve been to this lovely hotel. The venue was well presented. Food was amazing. Definitely recommend the mud crab. The staff there are amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate my family while staying here. Definitely will stay here the next time we are in Sydney. Keep up the great work.

I am absolutely disgusted with the bar staff!! I witnessed the 3 barmaids screaming profanities, walking around behind the bar like, hefty gang members!!! All the while yelling swear words!! One had bought kfc. That's ok. But witnessing her shovel it down her throat and turn around to customers chewing while serving customers?!!! Then another bar maid decided to have her turn in shovelling kfc down while serving customers???!!! Where was the Bar manager???????????? That bar manager has not been there in God knows how long. As a paying customer.... this behaviour from your staff is unprofessional as well as unacceptable
