Needed a nice red as alternate to roses for Valentine's Day. Young chap in Drive Through at about 3pm was outstandingly helpful. My Lovely Lady and I enjoyed a magnificent drop and had a fabulous evening. Many thanks young chap and Australian Hotel !!

Had a great experience at the pub since Adam took over management. You can really see the difference he’s making—everything runs smoothly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the team clearly respect his leadership. Service was prompt and friendly, the venue feels well organised, and there’s a good vibe overall. It’s clear Adam takes pride in the place and cares about customer experience. Definitely looking forward to coming back again.

Went here with two others. Ordered 2 burgers, corn ribs, and garlic bread + cheese. Burger buns were stale, chips(free with burger) were under seasoned but had good crunch. Corn ribs were large and had good seasoning. Really good garlic bread. Service was nice, bar tenders were friendly and professional. Might come back another night and try something different.

Disappointing meal at The Australian Hotel, McGraths Hill I recently had dinner at The Aussie and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I ordered the fish with potatoes and greens, but the fish was extremely tough and almost inedible, with an odd smell that made me concerned it wasn’t fresh. When I spoke to a staff member as we were leaving, I explained that I’d only managed to eat about a quarter of the fish because I was worried it might make me sick. I mentioned my concern about the smell and texture, but their response was quite dismissive — I was told, “Let me know if it makes you sick.” To make matters worse, one of the chefs was standing nearby listening to the conversation and didn’t say a word or make any effort to engage or offer assistance. I don’t usually like to leave negative reviews, but I hope this feedback encourages the team to take more care with their meals and customer service in the future.

We have been here for dinner and it was amazing. It is very much like an English pub, the atmosphere is very chilled, you order at the counter and can help yourself with tap water. I got the classic schnitzel with gravy and it was lovely, my friends also enjoyed very much their steaks. Would have definitely gone back if I had more time in the area!
