Had an awesome experience at Island Hopper Brewery! Aziz, the founder and brewer is super knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his craft. Tried the Pomelo Voss Ale (Norwegian style) on tap, absolutely loved it! Bright, citrusy, and refreshing. The Sunset and Sea Breeze were also great and perfect for a warm afternoon. Highly recommend visiting Zucchero Caffe Bar in Artarmon if you want to enjoy these on tap.🍻

The brewery tap room is a cafe on Artarmons high street. It was a little weird having their delicious Amber Lager next to folks with their lattes and avo toast. In saying that, great concept to get access to a nano brewery in an easily accessible area (2mins from train station). Not sure I'll rush back (i live in Newcastle) but very happy I dropped by

Island Hopper Brewery has some really distinct beers on the market. The pomello Norwegian actually had the right balance and hint of actual pomello fruit flavouring. I thoroughly enjoyed the story behind the brewers journey of how he created the pomello Norwegian. The sunset lager was probably my favourite, as I am a bit of a lager fan, however this wasn't your typical lager. Rich caramel like texture made from Austrian hops, it was smooth and just tasted awesome. Beers are sold at the cafe on a Friday night from 5pm. Will be coming back for more. Nice atmosphere on a Friday night.

Do not expect to be able to drink their beers. It's a coffee shop with a cooler where they keep the Island Hopper beers. But apparently you can only buy them on Friday night, when they turn into a bar. What a waste of my time! Don't waste your time!

What a find! Aziz is really passionate about brewing - it shows in his brews. He's only (currently) got 2 different beers - it's definitely "nano" in scale, but they are fantastic - easy drinking, great flavours (love the hibiscus!) and it's awesome to have an awesome local(ish) brewery!
