A super cozy neighborhood & a homely cafe on the corner of the street, in Homebush. I’m not sure if you would find this gem if you didn't know about its existence. It’s charmingly decorated, has a nice, fairly large outdoor seating area & the open wood-burning oven adds to the cozy factor. Very nice easy-going staff, the menu is extensive & the food very good. There’s a lot of restaurants along the street, mainly Indian, that looks exciting and a stroll in the area is highly recommended. They used to have a cafe in Concord but sold & moved away many years ago. We’re so happy to have found them again, here in this lovely neighbourhood, and it’s as nice as previous place.
This week went to Homebush and first time visit. Great location near the school and outdoor seating is good to sit under shade of the trees food taste fresh. Fig and Halloumi tasty and beetroot salad with chicken.. could have done with more beetroot. Staff friendly and helpful. Store also serves sweets to takeaway.
There is a really nice atmosphere but some employees were putting the croissants in the box with their hands and I ordered almond nutella croissant. the croissant is not fresh and it was not hot or crispy so I was able to eat half and gave the other half to the birds on the street. But the coffee is really successful, I hope they are equally successful in dessert and food.
Love everything about this cafe! The service staff were friendly and attentive, the menu was interesting and enticing and the quality and presentation of the food excellent ! Definitely going to go back again. Couldn’t resist a stop in their bakery on the way out after brunch !
I got the meat platter and I must say it was very enjoyable. The gyros and angus burger were also excellent. However the oil they had used to fry the seafood was rancid and overdue for replacement. I had gotten a greek style Frappe, but unfortunately it was horrible compared to the frappe I had gotten in Greece. Despite these issues, the servings were large and prices decent for what they were.
