Laker Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Strathfield. You'll find shaded space nearby, while Barone is around 450 metres away for an easy post-walk coffee.
Dogs must be kept on a leash in all Strathfield parks other than the designated leash free areas.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
Great community garden with good seating and shade not many parks this end of strathfield
Strathfield Community Garden open to the public Thursdays from 3pm. Open to members outside this time. See the Strathfield Council website to join!
It says it's a community garden, but doesn't allow public access... only members.. and there is no way in finding out how to become a member... don't bother calling the number... the person on the line is super unhelpful. Been living in Strathfield since 1998 and it's the most least community orientated place, ever. If this place was for the community it should be easy like 'Strathfield Sports Club' to become a member... as that place is also for the community
Connecting Elva Street and Pilgrim Avenue, it really looks like a cute little community garden with a bit of seating underneath the gazebo. But while passing, it looked like the gate was locked and you could only have access if you were a member of the local community association. I guess that saves a few plants, but it restricts freedom, hmm.
