The Ugly Cook

The Ugly Cook is a great spot along the main road, that's incredibly popular with locals, and good enough to draw people from further afield. The food here is fantastic. The hangover burger in particular is both delicious and great value for money. I couldn't finish it and hated leaving any because it was that good! The coffee was delicious, and had a lovely flavour throughout. It's a shame there was no latte art, else this would have been absolutely perfect. Staff were friendly. There were only limited highchairs available, so we once had to go elsewhere as we couldn't get by without one. There is plenty of street parking available right outside and in the local area. Price wise everything was reasonable, inkeeping with the local area. We'll be back!

I come here quite often and it never disappoints. The service is always amazing — the staff are friendly, welcoming, and consistently attentive. The food is fresh, beautifully presented, and made with quality ingredients. The avocado toast with halloumi and rocket was excellent, perfectly balanced and full of flavour. Even the coffee is consistently great. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Great atmosphere, great food, and fantastic service every time. Highly recommend The Ugly Cook. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have gotten the worst food poisoning after eating here today - the one and only meal I’ve had today. Assumed the sauce tasted weird on the beef taco but the beef must have been off. Makes sense why they had to overcook the beef - it was super tough. I have been throwing up constantly for the past 6-7 hours since.

Recommended by a friend that lives in the area and it didn’t disappoint. Excellent coffee and the food was spectacular. Met the owner who told us they just started opening for dinner. Will hopefully get time to come back and try!

Freshly renovated cafe. Good quality of coffee, nice spot for breakfast. Breaks wraps are second to none. Today was my first time dining in for lunch. Burgers were too big and generous. I wish I pick a kids size instead. Generously filed with bacon and extra large patty. Fast service as well as reasonably priced. Why not to stop and try it as you would never be disappointed?
