Castle Cove Park is a peaceful local off-leash spot with open grass, shade and useful facilities close by. There is parking, toilets, a playground and BBQ facilities, so it can work for either a quick dog run or a longer family visit. Dogs need to stay on-leash within ten metres of the playground, but otherwise have room to enjoy the green.
Designated off-leash dog exercise area. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. Dogs are not permitted within 10 metres of play areas or playgrounds. Source: Willoughby City Council – Off-leash areas (willoughby.nsw.gov.au/Residents/Pet-ownership/Dog-ownership/Off-leash-areas)
Update 2025 (minus 2 stars), dogs are awesome, what is not awesome is dog owners not following the rules of on leash when sports games are underway and not picking up your dogs 💩 ! Kids are playing and don't want to walk into your dog's business! No one else is going to pick it up, unless they walk into it. It's such a shame to see so many people walking around without a care in the world. Own it please dog owners. Old review: Amazing well kept park. The only downer is the dog walkers need to make sure their dogs are on a leash when there is organised sports and games happening on the oval.
Clean park in a great location would recommend heading down here weather it be for a game of cricket or just taking the dog for a walk.
Great quiet park with plenty of parking nearby. There is a playground, basketball court and an outdoor gym. Also 2 soccer fields and a walking track that loops around them.
Such a peaceful and relaxing little park. I love taking my dog off leash here, and have for years! Nice to have parking, toilets and playground too. At the moment it's undergoing a major renovation, so you can't access the grass at all! Don't bother to come back till around April 2022 (apparently when the work may be finished) unless you want to visit the kids' playground or walk around the fenced-off oval.
Came here to run a Bubble Soccer Event for the kids at the school Fields were great and toilets plenty of shade and room We had the bubble balls and zorb balls out to roll around and have plenty of fun
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
