Pub has re-opened and they are doing a great job at ticking the boxes. Great service Great food Cold beer Very nice small selection of wines. someone put effort into the wine selection. Dog friendly. Went several times over a week and will be our go to when we are back.
Leisurely lunch. Plenty to choose from ranges from toasties to steaks, Cheese burger 🍔 ( I don’t eat gherkins) was delicious. Bar service . Coffee & cakes available too. Outdoor tables partially shaded with a cooling breeze. Not far from the ferry wharf coming regularly from Newcastle proper , kinda centre of the main road.
We're LOVE the Gladdy! They have such wholesome, delicious food. They cater for food intolerances gf etc, which is so good. We had their Guinness Stew on mash. Omg! It was divine! Soul food at its best, and a generous size portion. Highly recommended!
Been here a few times and it’s been great service, atmosphere and food. Tonight though has been a big let down. Went in for a drink and get the kids some dinner. Ordered the kids nachos and nuggets and chips. The menu says this is for kids up to the age of 12. My nine year old scoffed when his nachos came out. It was nothing like what the menu read and had 2 slices of cucumber on the plate that had been cut 2 days ago and were disgusting. The chips that came with Dino nuggets were not the usual chips they serve, cheaped out here. For $15 per meal this was very disappointing. When we walked out we saw that a sign saying it was steak night $25. Not one staff member informed us of this. We would’ve been better off get one steak for the kids…
SO, SO GOOD. Simple food done exceptionally well. You can really taste how fresh the ingredients are, and it makes all the difference. Beautiful presentation, generous portions, and everything was perfectly cooked. A place that proves quality doesn’t need to be complicated — we’ll definitely be back.
