The Coffee Emporium Corrimal

Coffee Emporiums are apparently franchises, and ones where the franchisees seem to have at least some control over their local menus. That means that the quality can (and does) vary widely between outlets. In my experience Corrimal seems to be one of the better ones. The quality of the coffee will depend on who is working at the time to some extent, but the coffee beans are clearly of a decent quality since the rich flavour comes through. I've had coffees that range between average and very good here. Toast will also vary depending on who does it. I've occasionally had light meals for lunch here as well. Is the food gourmet level? No, but it's tasty and filling with decent serving sizes. Essentially it's just what you want from your local cafe when you just need something that is enjoyable enough to eat, quick and easy without being too expensive. (That said, cafe prices in general have been going up for some time now, but the prices here are well in the average range.) Seating is what it is. It's arranged out in the main walkways of the mall, with some facing Woolworths and some running down one of the aisles perpendicular to that. It means that you do have people walking past you constantly, but it's rarely an issue in the morning when relatively few people are about, and there's still plenty of space for people to walk past without bumping into you. Is it ideal? No. Is it a huge issue? Also no. The staff are generally friendly and chatty and know how to do their job (aside from the occasional new starter who is still getting up to speed, but that's to be expected). I'd rate service as being considerably better than average. Overall I never have any qualms about going here. It's a good, basic cafe, and often that's exactly what you need. In my view it deserves a better average rating than it has, but equally I can't say when the management last changed. I know that it seems to have improved over how I found it 2 or 3 years ago when it could be much more hit and miss in all respects. It's worth giving it a try, at least.

This is one of my favourite places to enjoy a peaceful morning. The coffee is always really nice smooth, rich, and satisfying. I love coming here for breakfast too. They have great options like toasted Turkish fingers with chicken, cheese, tomato, and avocado, or roast veggies with halloumi and pesto so delicious! The café has a warm and welcoming vibe, and the place is always clean. What I appreciate most is the staff they are super friendly and respectful, which makes the experience even better. As a Muslim, I also appreciate that there are tasty options available without bacon or pork, so I can enjoy my meal comfortably. Highly recommended for a good coffee, fresh food, and kind service!

The coffee here is a mess. A staff member who looks like an Indian woman gave me coffee with the coffee art spilled all over. When I looked angry, she brought me tissues and laughed with the other staff, saying, "She's angry."...... How can they be so rude? Boss, please hire a staff member who makes good coffee and has a good personality. I left some coffee.
