It’s a beautiful beach very quiet there are lots of sticks and thorns on the beach needs a good clean up. Other than that it’s beautiful for kids and family’s very quiet, not too rough. Parking is very easy. I would be coming back here. Would be nice if there was a cafe or some seats... Kids love it lots of sea shells for kids to collect and enjoy a day out or dig up a sand castle. Great fun day out for families.
Ballina is a really pleasant coastal town with a great balance of river and ocean scenery. The walks along the river are peaceful, and the lighthouse area has some fantastic views. It’s relaxed, easy to get around, and a lovely place to spend a day or two unwinding by the water.
Nice sandy beach- only 200 meters walk from Shelly beach. Nice flat and quiet beach. Water is surprisingly calmer than Shelly beach nearby. Don't forget to stop at Capiche restaurant overhanging the beach
There are plenty of beautiful beaches around Ballina and Byron Bay. This is my favourite area in Australia to spend time on the sand and in the ocean water. It was a first time for me visiting Lighthouse Beach in Ballina. There are plenty of curious crabs, beautiful white sand and powerful ocean waves. Also, not very crowded.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
