Croot Park is a well-regarded dog-friendly park in Hurstville where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find parking nearby.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in this park. Under Georges River Council policy, dogs are permitted on-leash in public places except in designated leash-free areas; this park is listed on Council's Park and Reserve Facilities directory and is not a designated off-leash area.
Playground area needs shade sails or something to block out the sun - the entire play area is exposed to the sun and can get really hot even during mornings. Park is very dog-friendly, with a huge grass area that is generally well maintained (mowed) on a regular basis. Dogs are frequently seen running and playing fetch in the area, and chilling under the shade. Downside is that there’s no public tap that would be beneficial for dogs to drink from or kids to wash their hands. Would love to see this be installed somewhere in the future!
Nice open area with a small playground on one end. Couple of benches and picnic tables close to the playground. Old batting cage also available.Park is well maintained it is abit dated and in need of an upgrade Unfortunately no toilets or water fountain. Street parking available .
Needs attention from the council for the improvements. Small children play ground and one cricket practice net.
This park's children playground area is old and desperately in need of an upgrade. The ground is covered by sawdust and not the soft foam surface like other playground. There is no sun cover protection for the kids. There is no water to wash hands and only one yellow bin is available which is not for garbage. The wooden benches are old and worn out.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
