Reed Park Fenced Dog Park is a popular local off-leash area with separate sections for small and large dogs. The fencing, drinking water and undercover seating make it a practical place for a relaxed dog park visit. It is well used by locals, so it works well for dogs that enjoy a social run with others.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in public spaces. Dogs are not allowed within 10 metres of children's play areas or areas where food is prepared or eaten (except outdoor dining areas of cafes/restaurants that allow dogs). Dogs are prohibited from school grounds, childcare centres, rock platforms, wildlife protection areas, and any area with signage indicating dogs are prohibited. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. Source: Wollongong City Council – Dog Beaches and Parks (wollongong.nsw.gov.au/places/dog-beaches-and-parks)
We’ve always been cautious of dog parks so we will drop in if we’re driving by and it’s fairly quiet. Dog parks are the perfect environment for over arousal which can turn into dog fights. We’ve only ever encounter max 3 other dogs here which is probably our limit. Good size, bags on hand, water located just outside alongside the bins. What more could you want really?!
It's an excellent place to let your dog run free and play with other dogs. Dogs need to socialise and I've made a few friends there as well. My dog and I use the park as much as we can.
Great dog park, we visit this place frequently. There are two separate area's for small & larger dogs to enjoy a larger space to run around. I just wish some dog owners would pick up their own dogs 💩, as in my experience, there are always enough dogs 💩 bags provided by Council.
A fantastic place to take your dog, socialize, and meet other pups! There are two separate areas for large and small dogs, with running water available for drinking. Plus, there’s undercover seating for comfort. Highly recommended!
A fenced dog park divided into large and small dogs. Idea place for dogs to have a run, socialise & play with other dogs. Facebook page: Friends of dapto dog park.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
