Good vibe at the rooftop bar, and the retractable roof is a nice touch. They sometimes have DJs, which adds a festive ambiance but makes it harder to talk. I liked the lamb souvlaki bowl and the steak sandwich special (hopefully they add the steak sandwich to the regular menu). The chicken schnitty was fine, just not as memorable. Service was good, and the bathrooms were clean, which I always appreciate. Overall, a solid spot — I wouldn’t mind going back.☺️

Absolutely stunning pub! My family are visiting from overseas and we were recommended to go and try lunch at The Repubic by friends. The staff are so nice and couldn’t do any more for us, the food was exceptional and the different levels, stunning! Our 1 hours lunch turned into 5 hours of us drinking and laughing! 5 stars and highly recommended to all! We will be back very soon! Thank you.

My friends and I visited this place for a special occasion. We had just ordered our first drinks and had not even finished them yet when a bouncer suddenly approached us and told us we had to leave. We calmly asked for the reason, and he said we were intoxicated. This made absolutely no sense because we had literally just started our first drink. There was no possible way any of us could have been intoxicated. We were confused, and so were our friends. If noise was the issue, it still would not justify being singled out, especially since the venue was packed and many other groups were just as loud. We were being very mindful of our surroundings the entire time. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that a group of girls sitting across from us witnessed what happened and were also clearly shocked and confused by what they were seeing. It felt unfair and completely unjustified. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and left a very bad impression. On top of that, the drinks and food were overpriced and not worth the quality. Paying premium prices for something as basic as a vodka cruiser is ridiculous. Management should seriously review their staff and employee conduct, especially the bouncer involved in this incident. Situations like this should be handled professionally and fairly, not based on assumptions or poor judgment. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. No customer deserves to be treated this way without a valid and reasonable explanation.

We held our Christmas work party here and after a bit of a wait for our table (previous people did not want to leave at time booked as they were waiting a long time for food and drinks), we were able to order food and drinks straight away. Was unaware you had to order canape platters in advance but all the small bite dishes came out quickly and were very good. Place was a little noisy for conversation but we ended up all having a great time. Was lucky to find an outside table when our booking ended at 6pm.
