South Golden Beach
South Golden Beach is an open, uncrowded far north coast beach where dogs can run off-leash along the intertidal zone. Access runs from Gloria Street north towards Billinudgel Nature Reserve, with dogs kept off the dunes and rehabilitation areas. It is a wide, easygoing beach for long walks, firm-sand running and plenty of space by the water.
Dog rules
Off-leash is permitted in the designated section only — from Gloria Street north to the Billinudgel Nature Reserve boundary — and dogs must remain within the inter-tidal zone, off the dunes. Dogs must be on-leash outside this section. Dogs are prohibited in Billinudgel Nature Reserve and in the stretch between Ocean Avenue and Gloria Street.

We’ve been going here everyday after my partner gets home from dayshift. It’s great. The dogs love it.
