Sandbar Beach is a dog-friendly beach with a designated off-leash area where dogs can roam freely. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking before you visit.
Dog rules
Off-leash is permitted in the designated central section of Sandbar Beach, between 5am–9am and 5pm–8pm. Dogs must be on-leash outside those hours. Dogs are prohibited at the National Park end to the south and on-leash at the Cellito headland to the north. Stay 50 metres from patrolled swimming areas.
