It was a gem of a place. Went to beach on the eve around 7pm of Boxing Day and it was all empty. It was nice experience to have the beach for just ourselves like it was private beach. There are public toilets(which was unclean at the time, but you can go) showers and dressing rooms to get changed. Guards were keeping look out. Sea is shallow and you can walk a good distance in water without getting the upper body wet. I really liked the beach and sea.

Surf beach is equipped with toilets, cold showers and a beautiful beach suitable for a safe swim, great walk and picnic at the tables available under shelter. There is kids play ground that allows the kids to burn some energy whilst you relax on the grass.

Nice beach to spend a day relaxing on the sand or swimming. There are small waves in the morning for bodyboarding. Low tides in the afternoon. When we were there in mid January life guards were on duty. Bluebottles were also signalled with reminder to be careful. Ample carpark near by but can quickly fill up on busy days. Half dozen picnic tables and benches, well maintained lawns and public toilets add to the convenience of this place. The Surf Beach cafe at the car park entrance can be a saviour if you want a snack or ice cream. Make sure to check the opening hours. BYO beach tent or shades and lots of sunscreen.

Really pretty beach - although cold & a little drizzly I still enjoyed the walk along the sand and all the friendly gulls. Convenient parking , well maintained facilities and shops and a cafe near by.

A lovely little beach. Shallow, hence great for kids and those who like playing in the waves. There is a takeaway store, toilets, showers and a playground. The beach is usually not patrolled. There is a parking site with ample spots, but things can be a bit tricky on busy days.
