What people say
Wicks Park is great, it's a breathe of fresh air in the middle of a very commercial part of marrickville. In the sea of smash shops and small commercial businesses, Wicks Park is a welcome sight of green and shade. There's tennis courts, and a playground. There's even a toilet! However, once again the Inner West has been sold out by their own council, and an absolute MONSTROSITY is being built next to it. What I can only imagine is well over 100 units, enjoy the park while you can, because it'll be trashed in another year....
Such a place of fun and contentment. Grassy if a little small, there are NEW public toilets, shaded kids playing area with swing, picnic tables, lots of running about areas, most beautiful and old trees that provide shade on hot summer days, and wonderful serenity 😀 Tenis courts 👌 with long-established tennis school. Best of all, the park is just opposite the supreme Wick's Cafe, with great food and drink, and outstanding hospitality.
Mostly dark due to trees obstructing sunlight. Limited equipment and the parking availability is poor. Tennis courts available for lessons unclear if its open to the public.
Surrounded by roads and construction but still a nice park 👍 4 tennis courts that are often free to use, a playground and a decent amount of trees... Tai chi ladies in the morning
Amazing place to learn tennis. Coaches are really good and fees are reasonable. I enjoy learning tennis here.
