Unexpected Guest Distillery

Good people, great gin and a fantastic orange Kombi to round out the experience. This place has gone from a distillery to a thriving little community - Jane, Phoebe, Amy, Charlie the distillery dog and the rest of the team are all superstars

If it was possible to give 6 stars I would have!! We had our wedding at Unexpected Guest, Phoebe, Margaret and the entire team went above and beyond! At no point were they trying to rip us off because it was a wedding/engagement party, like so many other venues did. In fact, they looked for different ways to help us save! They re-organised the entire venue and set up everything perfectly, our friends who were helping with the setup showed up and had nothing left to do! They also found us utensils when we had forgotten, and helped pack up all the leftover food and handed out individual doggy bags to our guests - something they were definitely not required to do! The Unexpected Guest team was fun, creative, and operated more like our friends rather than a vendor. We had the best time ever and our friends were raving about the party! Look no further! What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Jamie was a fabulous host and the service and experience was great. Very generous pours! Loved, loved it!

Had an incredible afternoon at Unexpected Guest for their gin tasting experience with Jamie and the team. A fantastic mix of knowledge, passion and creativity, with each gin beautifully presented and explained. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and you can really see the care that goes into every detail. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great gin, good company and a unique tasting experience.

Had the best time at unexpected guest this afternoon! The staff were fantastic and Jamie was fabulous! We made some lovely friends and had plenty of laughs. Couldn’t recommend this place more!
