Unexpected Guest Distillery

Good people, great gin and a fantastic orange Kombi to round out the experience. This place has gone from a distillery to a thriving little community - Jane, Phoebe, Amy, Charlie the distillery dog and the rest of the team are all superstars

I’m not a big fan of gin but this is the first place where I’ve been able to taste a gin on the rocks and genuinely enjoy it. Great cocktails and drinks, friendly staff and a cool vibe

Fantastic spot for a casual drink, date night or a party! The team here were fantastic to work with when planning a big party recently. Very accommodating to some unusual requests. The night went perfectly.

Highly recommend this experience! It was so much fun and informative. Greatly appreciated the tricks and hints for making cocktails at home so my friends will think I’m such an expert now. The quality of Gin and attention to detail at the Unexpected Guest Distillery is at the highest level. But go and see for yourself, I mean they even have a disco ball hanging from the ceiling!

What an amazing find in Marrickville! Went here for a pre-dinner tipple and wish we could have stayed longer. Such a welcoming and friendly venue. The staff and service were so lovely. We did the gin flight.. tasting the varied gin creations of the owners (so good!)... our friends tasted a couple of the 'off the menu' offerings, and were also very impressed. Who knew that gin could be so completely versatile!? If you're looking for something to start, or maybe end, your night with... I thoroughly recommend dropping in.
