Unity Hall Hotel is a dog-friendly pub in Balmain. Around 200 metres away, Gladstone Park is also a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.
Dogs are allowed downstairs and inside the venue.
Thanks Unity for your friendly and helpful staff with good energy from fellow patrons for a great 2023 and hopefull for a great 2024. Loved the bands and hospitality with a great atmosphere in a historic setting doing best whilst renovating. Nice easy parking with a great kebab shop. Ha ha, not brave enough to do the Sunday politics in the pub yet as the founding venue for the Au Labor party but i enjoyed the Bob Hawk brewerey Its nice to feel the positive energy love from the free bands in solidarity with working class batlers who often can't afford to go out in these dire economic times. Talk about service, My little one tipped the table over in the dining area up stairs, Bernie approached from the bar straight away to clean up saying “it happens all good.” He was a great server and had a great attitude, it’s good to see a young man with such superb manners. I will definitely be returning.
We joined friends for Sunday lunch upstairs in the revamped dining area. Food was excellent - good choice including veg dishes, all tasty, and decent wine at surprisingly reasonable prices. It just needs more guests!
Beautiful space! Very good food! At first glance the menu seemed to be traditional pub food. It is, but with a Japanese twist! We had chicken katsu (Schnitzel) with Japanese curry sauce and Asian salad, creamy miso mushroom udon noodles with chilli crunch, sesame seeds AND Parmesan (Italian fusion), a generous serving of Asian stir fried veggies and yuzu flavoured Creme caramel (classic). All accompanied by a beautiful bottle of Clarendon Syrah. Yum yum yum!
I visited during the soft opening, and the food was already amazing. The karaage chicken burger was definitely the highlight, super tasty with gochujang sauce and well made. Highly recommended!
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
