What people say
Elkington Park is a stunning park with great views and lots of shaded areas to play. It is very popular for weddings. It features a historic band rotunda built in 1936. The romantic history of Captain Thunderbolt and Mary Ann Bugg at White Horse Point offers some intrigue.
Not much space or seating/picnic spots but there is more than one playground for kids and a great view at the edge of the park.
What a Top Spot! My new Nirvana. Sydney's got an awesome variety of sheltered beaches to enjoy long walks swims and hit summers days!
Wonderful views of Snapper, Spectacle and Cockatoo Islands. Identically, catch the ferry there and walk from Balmain west ferry wharf. Fantastic place for picnic and walk down to Dawn Fraser pool. The architecture of the houses over looking the water are worth the visit themselves. Relaxing ++++
The Fenwick is THE place to go for a romantic dinner : excellent cuisine, knowledgeable & courteous wait-staff, and a glorious outlook on Sydney Harbour, including SHB, Luna Park, the CBD, etc. Took my bride there, and our daughter too, and we all gawped at its loveliness.
