Ewenton Park is a quiet, pretty park in Balmain that is well suited to a relaxed dog walk. Dogs are allowed off-leash on weekends and public holidays from 4pm to 10am, or from 5pm to 10am during daylight saving, and need to stay on-leash outside those hours. It is a calm local spot with seating and a peaceful feel, good for an easy visit around the off-leash window. A pleasant neighbourhood park for a gentle walk.
Ewenton Park is off-leash between 4pm and 10am (5pm–10am during daylight saving), weekends and public holidays. Dogs must be on a leash at all other times.
Ewenton Park, Balmain This quiet park is great for dogs. They can play off leash between 4pm and 10am during non daylight saving time, and 5pm and 10am during daylight saving time, weekends and public holidays. The best time to visit is in the late afternoon as the sun sets, reflecting off the glass towers at Barangaroo. The water police headquarters is there
We had a fantastic time visiting this park with a group of friends. It’s a hidden gem in Balmain that offers some of the most impressive, unobstructed views of the Barangaroo skyline and the Crown tower across the water. The vibe is much more peaceful than the busier parks in the city, making it a perfect spot to just sit and catch up. Scenic & Active: A great starting point for the Tom Uren Trail if you're up for a bit of a historical walk. Waterfront Access: The sandstone steps are a unique feature—perfect for sitting by the harbor or even doing a bit of fishing. Convenience: It’s tucked away in a quiet residential area but still an easy walk to the local Balmain shops and cafes. Pro Tip: Parking is quite tight in these narrow streets, so it’s worth arriving early or walking in from the ferry wharf." #hikingdiarybyabid
Great park, and we keep coming here. I think the council is neglecting it. Its hard to park here, but you can park up the hill and walk down, its worth it. Public toilets would be nice too
Balmain. Such a good place to walk with your dog. Such a Romantic place. I recommend you propose here to someone 😉
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
