Sat outside on a balmy summer’s evening and it was perfect. The staff were incredible, highly attentive. Great wine selection. And the sweet potato fries were heaven in food form. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Booked on a whim for a Friday evening dinner and drinks for 2 people. Found that this spot has a phenomenal drink selection (wine, spirits, cocktails), delicious food (particularly the octopus and tartare), and incredibly prompt service. Staff were knowledgeable about the wine list and made spot-on recommendations. Will be attending again (hopefully soon).
Food was tasty and well cooked, everything was delicious. Nicely decked out, cosy and vibrant. Wine was sensational. Just wished the juicy tender wagyu skewers were bit more for the price tag. Could have eaten double that portion to myself.
Such a hidden gem! Just tried this place for the first time and can’t wait to go back already 😍 Everything was cooked to perfection and the wine & drinks menu is simply next level 👏🏼 Highly recommend!
This is a new wine bar and small eats venue in Summer Hill, and not without competition in the category with plenty of wine and dine options close by. However, for an unscripted stop-in sans reservation (I’d just been knocked back across the road at a big-name city venue outpost), a difficult seat number (1, you guessed right) and a packed-out wet week night, it’s a standout I’ll revisit. In summary: superb service under stress, bar seating at the quieter end of town not negating staff attentiveness, great by-the-glass wines and a crumbed whiting side dish in perfect complement to my drinks (I intended to stay for 1). If you’re after a cocktail, the range on offer is quite delightful (don’t be driving for this option). Go if you plan a girls catch-up, are dining with a significant other, had a bad work day and fancy a good French red (and maybe a sneaky side dish to go with it), or just because it’s a Euro-ish escape from our eternal wet winter… I think this is one local spot that will be around for a while. Aperitif it is!
