Sutton Park is a dog-friendly park in Blackheath with plenty of shade. Just 400m away, Spikes Bistro Blackheath is a nearby spot to stop in after your walk.
In the Blue Mountains, dogs must be on a leash in all public areas unless in a specifically designated off-leash zone. This venue is not on Blue Mountains City Council's off-leash areas list. (Source: Blue Mountains City Council — Dog off-leash areas, bmcc.nsw.gov.au/dogs.)
A great place for a toilet or lunch break when crossing over the mountains. Plenty of parking, grassy areas, shade and quiet. Easy access to and from the highway.
👎👎👎👎👎 awful Small nothing for kids to play there it's out dated & needs to be rebuilt.
Sutton park is a gem hidden in a menagerie of mystery. We discovered this park after a gruelling trek across the (allegedly) blue mountains. When we stumbled upon Sutton park, our eyes lit up with a childlike wonder as to the possibilities. It has a slide, swings, and even a bubbler. We will be back.
Nice park
We have stopped here as a safety stop a few times when I haven't been well to get back to our camp. A great spot for a refresher stop. With so many stopping here it would be nice to see a local portable food truck or coffee truck. :)
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
