Just rocked up to this place after our dinner at kiln, was waiting for friends in the bathroom, my other friend was standing at the entrance waiting for our friends, security called us all the way to the other room and didn’t say anything but got another guy to question if we had thrown up. Doesn’t make sense because we were all visibly present and basically sober. I understand protocol as someone who’s owned hospitality businesses but didn’t seem right as others were visibly drunk and we were chill. It doesn’t help that me and my friends are people of colour because definitely didn’t make us feel welcomed at all. DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

Ash the manager is honestly the best. Super friendly, always upbeat. Even when it’s packed, she keeps the vibe fun and everything flowing smoothly. She makes the place what it is, total legend! Would come back just for her energy alone.

On 20 December 2025, I attended the Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul fight at Beach Road Hotel with a friend. We purchased drinks, including a bottle of wine, and were watching the fight like many other guests. I was enthusiastically supporting Anthony Joshua, which involved cheering during the match in what was a very loud environment overall. During the fight, a staff member approached me and warned that I would be expelled from the venue if I continued cheering, stating that my behaviour was allegedly frightening other guests due to a recent terrorist attack. I was taken aback by this approach, but out of respect and to avoid escalation, I immediately moderated it and did not cheer audibly again. Several people seated around me expressed surprise at how the situation was handled and suggested that I speak to the staff member after the fight, as they did not feel my behaviour was inappropriate. When the fight ended, I attempted to approach the staff member calmly to discuss the matter, but she ignored me and walked away into the bar area. I followed her into the bar ask why she did not wish to speak with me and requested that a manager be called if she preferred not to engage. A female manager then attended, but despite my attempts to explain the situation, she instructed me to leave the venue, stating that I had “attacked” a staff member. Two other guests who had been seated in front of me attempted to explain that they were not alarmed by my cheering and that my behaviour was consistent with enjoying the sport, but their input was not considered. These two guests chose to leave the venue with my friend and me, and we went elsewhere for a drink. Later that evening, I returned to Beach Road Hotel with two other friends. We had drinks and were dancing when a security guard approached me and asked me to go downstairs for a conversation. There, I encountered the same female manager, who informed me that I was banned from the venue for 24 hours. When I asked for the reason, none was provided. I then requested to speak with the male manager I had interacted with approximately a year earlier. During this conversation, I explicitly requested that the CCTV footage be reviewed to verify whether I had, in fact, attacked any staff members. This request was not taken into consideration. When I attempted to explain my perspective, I felt my explanation was not considered, and I was again told that I had attacked staff members and that management needed to side with their employees. I was subsequently escorted from the venue by security. I have spent many positive evenings at Beach Road Hotel, have introduced numerous friends to the venue, and have been a regular and respectful guest. I am therefore deeply disappointed to have been characterised as someone who would attack staff, as this is entirely inconsistent with my behaviour and intentions. I believe the situation was mishandled and that I was not given a fair opportunity to explain my side of the events.

Came here last night to have some drinks and it was a nice vibe. Caught up with some friends in a booth but bear in mind after 10pm they turn the music up (maybe just at weekends) so it got too loud to speak comfortably. We didn’t stay late but seems like it would be good for a night out. The bouncers on the door were nice :)

Uber from Airport $59 Aus. Arrived 8:50 pm on a Friday. Stayed in #1 Room. The staff helped us with our Luggage up 2 flights of Stairs. All access is thru GOKI app. Front desk did all the input on our phones. The app opens front door during non peak hours. Goki also opens foor to stairs up to our #1 room. The Huge pub had a lot of action on Saturday with AFL & RFL and dancing on upper level. No elevator .Our room was directly over the Dancing so it can be heard through the walls and floor Friday and Saturday night we just turned on the very nice A.C. on and volume on the TV,( btw remember your streaming codes for the tv.)We knew about the noise when we booked, Sunday Thru Wednesday no issues. The Food from the Roadhouse Kitchen and in the bar is very good, we ate 3 different meals , all were very Tasty. The Entire staff are Very courteous and helpful to us older folks. Only 9 minutes to Bondi Beach and all sorts of DELICIOUS Food to within 6-10 walk any direction. Met Ben to tell him what a Fine place this is.
