Standards are always rising in sydney cafes. This one needs to get with the program. The place is dirty, really dirty. Walk through the place to the toilet. It needs a couple of days of scrubbing and painting. The coffee was a little unbalanced, but made ok. The beans must have some robusta in the arabica. This charges the caffeine level, and im still trying to work it off. It would have helped if we were given some tap water. As the only table there, it wasnt busyness that prevented this basic. The nice waitress also didnt feel the need to talk about the menu or the special, sell cake of mention anything from the very worn menus. The scone at room temperature should still be yummy. It was dry and stale. I think they're new owners. Take it from an old owner who did well in cafes and restaurants...Close, clean, rebrand, renew.

We had a lovely experience here. We ordered the almond sticky chai and an iced latte, along with the coconut chilli egg and salmon bagel, which comes with the option of toasted, plain, or seeded, a nice touch. The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent, greeted with warm smiles. Unfortunately, during our visit the machine that prints messages and photos was under repair, so we’re definitely looking forward to coming back to try the coffee properly next time. For this visit, we went with iced drinks. There is plenty of street parking, but we recommend checking the parking signs carefully, we came on a Saturday and parking was 2 hours, then 30 minutes, depending on the zone. The café was quite busy around 11 am for brunch, but we were lucky to get a table straight away. Overall, a great experience and we look forward to returning. One added bonus of this place is that they make most of their own cream cheese, sauces, pickles, and hummus in-house, which really shows in the fresh, vibrant flavours. You can genuinely taste the difference. We know what we're going to order next time....We are going to try their speciality section!

Highly recommend this place, the waitress was so friendly and attentive and even asked what type of mug I wanted, they have these great fancy big mugs which felt like a treat. I had the BLAT which comes on Turkish and was just made to perfection. I paired with a cherry Danish and it really just made my morning. Well done, come here and you won't be disappointed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely loving the new menu at Ruby’s Diner! I tried the coconut chilli eggs and it was such an interesting dish, full of flavour. The new management has done an amazing job – the decor feels welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive. A great spot to relax and enjoy delicious food, can’t wait to come back!
