Dog rules
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in this park. Off-leash exercise is only permitted in Randwick City Council's 17 designated leash-free areas — this is not one of them. Dogs are not permitted in playgrounds, sports courts, food preparation areas, schools, or wildlife protection areas. Please pick up after your dog — failure to do so attracts a $275 fine. What people say
Lovely spot. I've been twice now. The first time it was absolutely packed with everyone trying to take photos for IG or whatever. Last time I went it was fairly quiet so maybe the hype has died down. Nice flat blue water. Great spot
If you like running or just walking stairs, this is the place. I still remember my first time I was introduced to these stairs in 1977, I was only 13yrs old. Looking up from the bottom you think you see the top, only to begin your climb & quickly realise you're barley half way lol lol lol. Over the years I keep coming back, for just the sheer enjoyment of the view as well the exercise.
Great view from the top! Stairs are a great workout but can be very crowded with many people huffing and sweating, pushing past
The South Coogee Stairs are very popular with fitness fanatics from all over Sydney. They are steep and all different sizes and there are so many of them, it makes for a great workout. They are definitely not for the faint hearted. They are also located next to residential homes so be mindful of noise. The best part is most definitely the beautiful ocean view.
Gorgeous walk for early morning people and people interested in exercise outdoors.
