Robertson Park is a green harbourside park above Watsons Bay, with the wharf, beach and harbour views close by. Dogs are allowed off-leash between 3:30pm and 10:30am, and need to stay on-leash outside those hours. It is an easy spot to reach by ferry, settle on the grass and take in the view, with Watsons Bay Hotel a short stroll away for a relaxed afternoon stop.
Dogs are permitted off-leash at Robertson Park and the adjacent beach (between Watsons Bay Ferry Wharf and Vaucluse Yacht Club) between 3:30pm and 10:30am, except during organised public events. (Source: Woollahra Council.)
Arrived by ferry, stopped here just to relax and watch the world go by .. the park is clean , has some picnic area .. it must be a dog on leash or off leash … many dogs running around with their owners.. Watson Bay is a small community but quaint , has a few eateries and shops.. last thing , community washrooms were clean as well..
Confusing that some reviews say the park is dog friendly while the sign clearly states dogs are prohibited at all times. Guess the local old crowd is rich enough to have their own private spotless lawns for their dogs anyway.
Lush green Park overlooking the Watsons Bay wharf and the beach adjoining the wharf. A number of picnic spots available. Great scenery on a sunny day. A dog friendly park.
Great place for a picnics, has lots of picnic tables. And there is also a playground and public toilets. Loved feeling the breeze and the smelling the sea :)
This is such a lovely park with views of the city as you walk towards the water. After doing The Gap cliff walk, you can grab a coffee or ice cream at a number of places nearby and sit on the grass, the beach front, the bandstand or one of many benches in the park. Pets on lead allowed and a popular playground for kids (up to 10 years IMO). There's also a toilet block in the park. Its situated right beside the ferry stop, bus stops or you can go by car as there is heaps of street parking (2/3 hours) along with a carpark with the same time limits. Just up the road is a massive off-lead park for dogs near the lighthouse where in season is a great whale-watching spot.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
