We celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday dinner at Watsons Bay Hotel on 28th February and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly accommodating, warm and genuinely attentive. Nothing felt like too much trouble and everything ran so smoothly on the night. A special thank you to Jamie (MOD), the barmen at the Upper Deck bar, the wait staff, and Luke for going that extra mile to make the evening feel special. The food was faultless. Every dish came out swiftly and was absolutely delicious. The Upper Deck had the perfect atmosphere. Relaxed and chilled, yet still vibrant enough to feel like a celebration. It was ideal for conversation while soaking up the beautiful setting. We also loved the new renovation. It looks fantastic and really elevates the whole experience. Exceptional hospitality and service all around. We all had such a great time and will definitely be back.
Amazing place to stay! We stayed for a wedding shoot the next day. Me and my friend came in early and the lady at the reception were so kind to give us early check in. Staff at reception were so friendly and accommodating. I would love to stay here again
Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel is one of the best waterfront destinations in Sydney, combining relaxed coastal vibes with a premium dining and hotel experience. Located right on the beach, it offers unbeatable views across the harbour and some of the best sunsets you’ll see anywhere in the city. The atmosphere is what really sets it apart. Whether you’re sitting outside under the iconic yellow umbrellas or enjoying a drink by the water, it has a laid-back but still upscale feel. It’s perfect for long lunches, weekend drinks or special occasions. The food is consistently high quality, with a strong focus on fresh seafood and classic Australian dishes. Everything is well presented and full of flavour, and the menu caters to both casual visitors and those looking for something a bit more refined. The cocktails are also a highlight, especially when paired with the beachside setting. If you’re staying at the hotel, the rooms are stylish and modern with a coastal design that matches the location perfectly. Many rooms offer balconies or water views, making it a great choice for a relaxing overnight stay away from the city buzz. Service is friendly and efficient, even during busy periods, and the whole venue is well organised despite how popular it gets. If you’re looking for one of the best beachside hotels and dining spots in Sydney, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel is a must-visit. It’s ideal for locals and tourists alike and delivers a true Sydney coastal experience. Highly recommend arriving by ferry for the full experience, securing a spot early on weekends, and staying through sunset—it’s when this place really comes alive
Went to The Gap today with mixed feelings. Yeah naa, I was after a good feed. Superb battered fish and chips is suicidal for me but what a way to go. A plate of greens kinda cancelled out cholesterol clogging my arteries, then there were the sunshine, sky, harbour, yachts bobbing and friendly fellow foodies (try repeating that fast) and large team of efficient servers. Does pub grub ever deserve five stars? In this case definitely. Great management enhances the casual atmosphere. My international guests were impressed. OI Oi Oi.
I learnt about this venue via simple word of mouth – great views, a nice selection and hospitable service. Dan was a familiar face behind the bar, offering a local experience that felt authentic. His friendliness and bar knowledge is unparalleled. He even offered to refill my water bottle for the beach!
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
