Been in Sydney from Perth for a week. Been having breakfast at Zinc Cafe each morning. Has been great sitting outside watching the world go by. Food delicious , the fresh orange juice superb. Great coffee. The waiters lead by Peter have been so friendly and inviting to the cafe. Amazed how Peter knows so many customers by first name and there dogs names. Great genuine people. Thanks for starting my days of so great. Cheers sydney

Good choice on the menu. The Savoury mince on toast with a poached egg was pretty yum. Coffee was good. Service was excellent. Lots of clicking of cutlery on plates. Plenty of customer chatter makes for a nice all round experience. Window views with lots of foot traffic. Prancing people and their ultra small dogs getting about on a Saturday morning.

Great trout, egg and rocket salad which really hit the spot. The beef pie looked yummy too. Also still serving after 2pm by which time some places have run out.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my visits here have been genuinely disappointing. In my personal experience, the service felt unfriendly and unwelcoming from the moment I arrived. The attitude I encountered from both the owners and some of the staff came across as dismissive, and the level of hospitality was far below what I would expect from a café. I also felt that customers were treated differently depending on what they ordered, which left a negative impression. The atmosphere wasn’t enjoyable either — the tables are placed extremely close together, and I often felt like I was in the way, even though I was simply sitting at my own table. Overall, think that if owners do not enjoy anymore being in hospitality, better to sell.

I am a Korean tourist. During my eight-day stay in Sydney, I happened to have breakfast and found it so delicious and satisfying that I came here every day afterward. The bread, butter, soft scrambled eggs and coffee were absolutely perfect. All the staff were kind and nice. especially, the guy in glasses was very kind and professional.👍 The trip to Sydney left me with such a happy memory. Happy breakfast place. For those staying at the Macleay Hotel, I recommend this place.
