McKell park is a small but delightful park in the premier Sydney harbourside suburb of Darling Point. You don't go there so the kids can play on the equipment. Rather it is just the beauty of the park. Huge trees planted generations ago, while the park itself is shady and green and manicured like a small botanic garden. Old money lives around there and there is a lot of it. The houses are old but magnificent. If you were to visit there but not walk around the nearby residential streets you are doing yourself a disservice. There is early Australian history aplenty if you take a bit of time to research the area. Harbour views complete the package. Parking though is hard to find, almost impossible in fact. We walked there from Edgecliff as part of a day walk but if that is not your thing then catch a bus. It's worth the effort.

This is certainly a great park, with great views of the city and Harbour bridge if you walk down to the water edge. There is some space near the water where you can have a nice picnic and watch ferries pass by. There is also lots of space which is under many large trees providing you with lots of shade.

Beautiful little hideaway park nestled amongst the houses in the area. There’s a ferry stop by the water and public toilets. Not very good for parking though.

Beautifully manicured and managed park in Sydney’s Darling Point. Easy spot to catch the ferry back to Circular Quay.

McKell Park is one of my favourite places to relax and unwind. Located not far from the city, I find the park to be quiet and serene. It has spectacular views of the harbour, city and surrounding greenery. There is a great walking loop track. The park is very popular for fishing and picnics. It is well maintained and very clean. I would highly recommend coming to spend time here.
