Blues Point Reserve is a well-known harbourside park at McMahons Point with a playground, shade and toilets, and a distinctive outlook to the bridge. In keeping with North Sydney's parks, dogs are welcome off-leash, kept clear of the playground by 10 metres. There is parking on hand. A scenic off-leash park on the harbour.
North Sydney is a dog-friendly area and all Council parks and public reserves are off-leash areas, except for bushland areas, playing fields when organised sporting events are in progress, and venues where dogs are not allowed. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. (Source: North Sydney Council) (record: northsydney.nsw.gov.au/directory-record/1384/blues-point-reserve)
Must watch for the best Harbour Bridge, Opera house views with some parking facilities. Take a picnic mat with you and have a nice dinner with family.
One of the best places to enjoy a combined view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. I actually took a wrong exit and ended up discovering one of the best viewpoints of my trip! It’s a lovely spot for a picnic with family, and it was nice to see a few weddings happening, which added to the charm. Parking is quite difficult—very limited nearby, so you may need to park a few streets away or watch for time limits. Overall, this turned out to be one of my favourite places visited in Sydney and definitely worth stopping by.
It has to be one of the best views in Sydney and totally worth coming over here to see it. Parking can be quite painful unless you get lucky so maybe it's better to get the bus. Bring a picnic and enjoy a time here with family and friends.
Amazing spot to view the Sydney Harbour, The Bridge, City and all it's splendour. Short walk to Lavendar Bay and a lovely scenic walk around to Luna Park, Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden and into North Sydney CBD 🏙️ 🪻✨
