Anason is a cafe in Barangaroo. We don't yet have enough signals to confirm whether dogs are allowed. It's best to check with the venue before visiting with your dog. Just 100m away, Wulugul Walk is a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.
When walking along Barangaroo, you’ll see no shortage of excellent restaurants. Many are very good—but at the end of the day, most offer fairly similar menus. Anason Turkish Restaurant is genuinely different. The food is outstanding—fresh, authentic, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. What truly sets Anason apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which elevates the entire dining experience. Hats off to the manager for building such a strong team and consistently delivering food and service at this level. An absolute standout in Barangaroo and highly recommended.
Very average. The hummus was great, the bread was very fluffy and tasty too. The mujver was nothing special, under seasoned and bordering on overcooked. The John Dory was slightly overcooked and had a slight bitter taste. Octopus also overcooked and underwhelming. Service was excellent to begin but then fell apart halfway through the meal as they had a meeting. Took 25 minutes for the mains to arrive after the starters. Waiter tried to bring the wrong food twice. Ordered a beer when the mains arrived. Took so long to arrive we’d finished the mains and already ordered the bill. Came here for an occasion but for the price (and even if it had been cheaper) we were very underwhelmed. There are better restaurants on this road and many better Turkish/middle eastern restaurants in Sydney. $185 for 1 starter, 2 mains, a side and a beer/cocktail.
We hosted our end-of-year group lunch at Anason for a group of 20 and had an excellent experience. The staff were extremely welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout. We had a wheelchair user in our group, and the team were very accommodating — they proactively adjusted the booking, found a suitable dry on a rainy day and comfortable area, and ensured access and seating worked smoothly. It was handled thoughtfully and without any fuss. I made booking a head of time via email and the staff responded on the same day and communication with Summer was smooth and easy. The staff on the day went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. 🙌🏼! Dietary restrictions were followed carefully, and those meals were just as excellent as the rest. The food overall was outstanding, beautifully presented, and consistently delicious. Service was well paced and seamless despite the size of the group. Highly recommend Anason for group bookings and inclusive dining. My first experience but will be back!
Food was fantastic. Flavours I've never had before and thoroughly enjoyable and well prepared. Wait staff were fantastic. Great attention to detail, superb service and all of them were professional, fun and friendly and did a great job being considerate in many ways and making it an enjoyable experience. Location is naturally a slam dunk, great spot. Highly recommended in all regards for quality and value
We had a perfect dinner with friends in such a lovely place. The wine expert recommended a Riesling that suited our taste perfectly and it was amazing💗 The food quality was great and the price was very reasonable. A big thank you to Claire, the Korean server, who was so kind and friendly. She knew the menu so well and recommended dishes that matched our taste perfectly. The lamb shoulder and the fish roe hummus were absolutely delicious 🥰 We’ll definitely come back again!!
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
