Elysian Rock Lookout is a highly rated dog-friendly park in Leura. You'll find parking nearby.
Dogs are welcome on leash at Elysian Rock lookout, which sits in Blue Mountains City Council's Leura Cliff Walk Reserve off Olympian Parade. The cliff-top track through the reserve is council-managed, but it dips into Blue Mountains National Park for a short stretch where dogs are not permitted, so watch for the signposted park boundary and turn back there.
Located in Leura, this gem has spectacular views of the Blue Mountains and beyond. There is street free parking at this lookout. To get to the lookout, you would have to travel through uneven floors, but it's an easy descend down. I came here on a weekend in the afternoon. It's a great place to sit and admire what's in front of you. To the right is Olympian Rock Lookout, which is a short trek to get there.
As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia Tour of Sydney, came here, a good little view point of the blue mountains to enjoy the nature.
Elysian Rock offers an incredibly peaceful and stunning sunset view without the crowds of more famous Blue Mountains lookouts. The short, easy walk leads you to a beautiful rock platform that feels private and intimate. It's the perfect spot for photos, quiet reflection, or a memorable evening with friends. Highly recommend for a more local and relaxed experience!
Elysian Lookout is absolutely stunning! The views are simply breathtaking and worth every step. My kids really enjoyed the visit, especially with the three trail options that have recently been made – it gave us the chance to pick what suited us best. It’s a perfect spot for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to soak in the beauty of the Blue Mountains. Highly recommended.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
