Super chilled beach. Nice place to have lunch without heaps of people. Bring kids to play in the park. Very open to the elements. It's pretty windy and not much shade. Enjoy the planes flying over.

The main area has a nice viewing point, with sand dunes at one end and a vast coastline view at the other. It is an easy walk from the nearest car parking (30 mins walk or less). Sliding down the primary slope is a fun way to do sand boarding, but getting back up is a sure obstacle for many 😁

The Cronulla Sand Dunes are such a unique spot. Walking through feels like you’re in another world. Endless sand, beautiful views of the ocean and a really peaceful vibe. It’s a bit of a workout climbing the dunes, but totally worth it once you get to the top and see the view. Great place for a walk, photos, or just to clear your head.

The sand dunes are a must-visit spot, tucked away in the more hidden area at the back of the beach. Getting there can be a bit challenging and tiring—the trail involves going downhill, climbing uphill, and walking on soft sand that easily fills your shoes. The path is quite narrow, with bushes encroaching from both sides, so staying alert is essential. Be mindful of wildlife, especially snakes; I encountered a red-bellied snake on my way. For this trek, I highly recommend carrying essentials like a water bottle, a hat, and sunglasses, particularly on hot days. If you start from the beach and walk all the way to where the trail ends at Captain Cook Drive, the total distance is about 5 km—so plan your trip accordingly.
