Visited here a month ago, lovely people and met Obi 💕 Absolute landmark, wonnys hidden gem after Wonny World
Visiting from England. Our tour guide Obi knew so much about the areas history. It was fascinating to learn about Bruce Buchanan and the HMS Nottingham! I would advise booking in advance, as it was very busy! I aim to return soon for further history and I hope Obi is still working there. Overall 5 stars from me and my family. The kids love their hats and English boat swords!
A hidden gem - a little known history of the area… Lieutenant Buchanan first landed on the southern banks of Buchanan Beach on Sunday 29 April 1770, when navigating his way up the east coast of Australia on his ship, HMS Nottingham. Buchanans landing marked the beginning of Britain’s interest in the Sutherland Shire, lasting to this day.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
