Called in for a quick lunch and wasn't disappointed. The smoked salmon stack with hash brown and rocket salad was plentiful and delicious. Husband had an enormous brickie roll with egg, bacon and hash brown. The home made juice and chunky chips were also 5 star. Service was very good in spite of being busy. We'll be back!

Went here years ago and it was alright but we had a horrible experience there today. Service was non existent, had to ask multiple times for cups for the water, after waiting 15mins for hot cups, no apology or anything given. Son’s choc milkshake had zero ice cream in it and was actually warm. I ordered a breakfast burger that could only be described as slop. The bun was soggy and the relish was just awful. Hubby asked for crispy bacon, cook thought burnt to crisp was a good way to serve it. Food the worst in town! There were only 3 occupied tables and we watched another couple sit down to a dirty table that took staff half the day to clear. We only went because Dbl and Finn and Co were full but they are clearly not interested here and the food reflects it. Never again.

So this is a local place for me. The coffee is better across the street at Cassiopeia. I came in here to get a smoothie which was ok. There was no one in the cafe and they started making it 10 mins after I ordered and sat down. I asked if I could pay with Amex and the smoothie price was $9.50. I tapped and they charged me $0.98 for the card transaction fee. Thats over 10% which is absolutely ridiculous. They are making money from this which (correct me if I’m wrong) is illegal to do. The bakers wife cafe down the street has more expensive coffee but doesn’t charge the card fee for Amex. I won’t be coming back here again. I know it’s become a thing now in Australia with card fees but to all the business owners - just factor it into your price or at least display the total before you tap so it’s not a surprise when you end up paying over 10%! Surely your margins can’t be that slim. There are better places around the area and we should take a stand against stupid surcharges by going elsewhere. Strongly suggest to NOT GO HERE!

Love this place. Stopped for a quick brunch and we were not disappointed at all. Service was great, friendly and efficient. The meal we had were amazing, great price and amazing quality. The coffees were pretty good as well. Looking forward to stop here next time before heading to the mountains.

The food tastes really good but over recent times the serving size of steak fries with the grilled haloumi burger has REALLY decreased. For $23 takeout, one would expect a better serve , not just 11 fries!!! See photo.
