Kaleula Head is an off-leash headland at Kiama with sweeping 270-degree ocean views to the north, east and south. Dogs can run off-leash here under effective control, and the grassed headland is a fine spot to take in the outlook while they stretch their legs. It is a scenic, breezy place for an off-leash walk. A standout spot for a run with a view.
Dogs must be kept on-leash and are only permitted on perimeter footpaths of public parks within the Kiama Municipal Council area. Dogs are not permitted in park interiors. Dogs are not permitted on beaches unless within a designated off-leash beach area, in Minnamurra River water areas, or in Crooked River. Dogs are not permitted within 10 metres of children's playgrounds or food preparation/consumption areas, or on active sports fields during organised sport. Dog faeces must be immediately removed and properly disposed of. Source: Kiama Municipal Council – Dog off-leash areas (kiama.nsw.gov.au/Services/Animals/Dog-off-leash-areas)
This is a good place to let the dogs run around. Nice views North, East and South.
This is a "dog off leash" park. It's great for letting the dog have a run while taking in the 270° ocean views.
Great little lookout!! Even on a cloudy windy day it looks amazing! There's a few benches to look over the ocean.
Once you get off the grass it’s just a rocky headland and the sea. What’s not to love. For some reason there is air bubbling out of the rock pool, I would like to know why.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
