Peaceful, clean cafe with yummy dishes I could not stop thinking about. The bibimbap seemed strange at first as it was cold and no meat. But it was just delicious with a bed of amazing kimchi rice topped by fresh salad and pickled vegetables, with a perfectly cooked hot egg. Need to also call out the yuzu tea. I had a cold yuzu tea on a stinky hot day and it was a perfect …tangy slightly bitter Dirty chai also excellent.

Disappointing experience overall. The staff were not very accommodating when it came to food intolerances. We simply asked for eggs on toast without the sourdough, as I’m intolerant to it, and requested hash browns as a substitute instead. The staff checked with the chef, who bluntly refused the change. This was frustrating because we’ve visited many cafés before and have never had an issue with such a simple swap. Even if there was a price difference between the sourdough and hash browns, the café could have easily offered the substitution at an additional cost, which we would have been more than happy to pay. I also ordered the avocado and cheese toastie. As a regular customer, I know the standard this café usually delivers, which made this visit even more disappointing. The quality has dropped significantly, with barely any avocado in the toastie compared to previous orders. I’ve attached photos showing what we received today versus past visits. First 2 photos were from today. Last photo is from 22/4/2026 To be fair, the front of house staff were polite so this is not directed at them. However, the chef’s attitude and unwillingness to accommodate reasonable requests really impacted our experience. Unfortunately, after this visit, we won’t be returning.

Pros: I love their spicy pork (jaeyook rice on their menu). It's tasty, and the meal comes with a bit of nice salad. I find it hard to find a balanced (carbs, protein, fibre), tasty, well-portioned (not too massive), Asian one-person meal in a restaurant these days and I feel like this is one of the rare finds. This place also offers iced Omija soda which is unique. Omija is a sour, slightly tangy berry with subtle notes of sweetness. It could be an acquired taste, but I would recommend it for a hot summer day. They have other menu that looks superb like bibimbap, big pork katsu and bulgogi risotto that I'm excited to try next time. Cons: Inside the restaurant is pretty warm, not a cooling place on a hot day. Service isn't the most welcoming, but they're efficient. Pasta was okay - not the most amazing. I also wouldn't recommend their chai.

This café offers such a wide variety of dishes that just choosing what to eat is part of the fun. Today I tried the Korean-style DonKatsu and the rosé risotto for the first time, and both were generous in portion and full of flavor. The coffee was excellent as well, which made the whole experience even better. I definitely found myself wanting to come back again.

I've come here several times, mostly because of the long opening hours which have saved me from 4pm starvation blocks multiple times (cafes all closed by 3 and restaurants don't open until 5...). The interior is cute. Kimchi toastie ($19) — The kimchi flavour goes really well with every else. It's not too sour, even a little sweet in a way that adds to it. The sourdough is good and doesn't break my teeth which is a bonus. Price is a bit steep but to be fair it's a decent size toastie, enough to fill you up. 8.5/10 Muesli ($15.50) — A generous amount of honey which I appreciate. The muesli is very crunchy :) again a bit expensive for what it is. 8/10 Mushroom sandwich ($19) — Kinda similar to the kimchi toastie. The pesto is really yummy ! 8.5/10 Beef bulgogi risotto ($25) — Yeah it's just beef bulgogi on risotto. It was good but I didn't think this was special enough to warrant the price. The bulgogi flavour is a bit overpowering in the risotto. 6.5/10 K-arbonara pasta ($22) — Super creamy and rich ! I liked the mushrooms too (but I also just really like mushrooms in general so I might be biased). 8.5/10 Pretty good in general ! Honestly just the opening hours is a great incentive to come here, especially if you're like me and often wake up too late so your hunger is offset to weird times :P
