The pancake is a must-try here! We also had the chili egg again and breakky salmon! This was actually our third visit, and the taste has been consistently good every single time. For coffee, I usually go for the flat white and loved it on my first two visits. This time I tried the black coffee, which personally wasn’t for me, but the matcha drinks definitely made up for it. Both the iced and hot matcha green tea were amazing. Honestly, this is my favourite The Grounds location compared to Alexandria and the CBD. The food here has more variety and is genuinely tasty, while the Alexandria one feels more focused on being Instagram-worthy. Definitely worth visiting! Reservation is recommended. Again if you come during busy time without reservation be prepared to line up. Parking in the building can be challenging. Opt for street parking if you can can
I went for lunch & luckily we thought to book ahead, as they were packed! We still had to wait about 10 minutes for our table, but luckily there is plenty to look at while waiting, from the decor, to the gift store, to the coffee roaster. We had a lovely time and had yummy food! The establishment is so beautiful and was the perfect place for a Saturday lunch. However I would stay away from the avocado toast - it was delicious but they designed it for the aesthetic, as it was impossible to eat. The avocado wasn’t smashed, it was thick slices and not evenly on both pieces of toast, so you’ll have to play chef and spend time rearranging and mashing the avo yourself haha, my friend has instant regret. The service was great and staff were very friendly. but due to being packed, we did find it hard at times to find an available server who wasn’t in a rush / in the middle of another task. However all in all it was an amazing experience and would definitely go back!
High-quality food and great presentation. The salmon croissant and hotcakes were delicious, though the English muffin was a bit doughy. Service was a bit "sleepy" at the start; our hostess took a chair away to make room for a high chair but never actually brought one out. Good to know: Parents: It’s quite noisy inside -- potentially overstimulating for toddlers. Price: Expect to pay about a $5 premium per main compared to similar local cafes.
We had an amazing experience at The Ground Coffee Factory! Emerson, who’s a Brazilian coffee specialist, gave us a truly eye-opening coffee class. He explained the whole process - from different types of coffee, to how processing changes flavors, and how to brew the perfect cup. You can tell he’s passionate and knowledgeable, and we left not only with great coffee but with a whole new appreciation for it. Highly recommend this place and Emerson’s class! Moreover, this place has amazing service - very good food, everything is delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect. Honestly, it’s the gem of cafes and restaurants. Definitely come here - try the food, coffee, tea - whatever you like, you’ll find everything!
I’ve been to this place twice and probably more to come. Service is excellent and staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delicious and the portions were generous. The pancakes were as good as they looked. Lovely big brekkie and hazelnut chocolate cake, both of which were exceptionally good. The peach coffee flavour was unique and absolutely delicious. Note: I’d highly recommend making a reservation beforehand especially for weekend.
