Happy hour a con. Aggressive service. House wine asked for, dry, yes. Go to pay, $3 extra. Dry isn't happy hour! You should have asked, he says. We had. I don't recommend this place at all

The location is good, but the overall experience was disappointing. The room was dusty and we saw a cockroach in the corridor, which is not acceptable. The Wi-Fi did not work during our stay and, despite reporting it, no solution was offered. Communication with the property manager was also an issue. Simple questions were answered in an unfriendly and unprofessional manner, which made the stay uncomfortable. I hope this feedback helps improve both cleanliness and communication for future guests.

The location is good, but the overall experience was disappointing. The room was not properly cleaned, with visible dust, and I saw a cockroach in the corridor. The Wi-Fi did not work at all, and despite reporting it, no solution was offered and the issue was clearly not taken seriously. On top of that, the behaviour of the property manager was rude, condescending, and unnecessarily aggressive when answering simple and reasonable questions. This is not about misunderstanding, but about a lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. I am aware that the property manager often replies to negative reviews by denying or justifying the behaviour. I genuinely hope that this feedback will be used to improve communication and standards rather than dismiss it. I share this experience so future guests are aware and in the hope that the situation will improve.

If you're worried about money and don't mind a few bug roommates this is the place for you. A few more cooling systems would be nice, the rickity fan in the room wasn't enough for the 40⁰ days + sunburn I didn't mind the roach on the wall, but the freaky spider watching me in the bathroom was a bit too spooky for my liking. He didn't follow the standard roommate agreement of 'pick a top corner and stay there' Few of the neighbours were a bit loud coming up the stairs, but once they're in their room we couldn't hear them anymore. That was a nice surprise for a hostel style hotel. Staff were helpful and gave us fresh towels when we asked for them, and let us check in our room early (early flight to Sydney for us)

If you're looking for a real pub this is it brutha Dont expect a castle lol, its a proper old school corner pub in redfern. No frills, no rubbish, just good beer and a top feed. Ollie the publican is a top bloke. Looks after the regulars and knows how to pour a beer. The whole vibe is just easy, none of the usual sydney nonsense. The schnitzel is no joke. Its massive and actually good, not some frozen crap. Had a few schooners of New, didnt cost me an arm and a leg for once. Good spot to watch the footy and just chill out. Proper pub for proper people. Will be back for sure.
