The Friendly Inn Hotel is a classic country pub with a large outdoor area that includes both a terrace and a lower grassed beer garden. The size of the space makes it easy for dogs to settle or move around without feeling crowded.
In cooler months, there's an outdoor fire that adds to the atmosphere, and the grassy section in particular gives dogs room to stretch out.
Dogs are welcome in the outdoor terrace and grassed beer garden areas.
This place I have been multiple times!! And it always lives up to my expectations. The food was great. My daughter was not so hungry so ordered the share meal of octopus and thought it would be tiny as was a little worried. Yet when it came it was so good!! She loved it. The music was so good as we came on Australia week, only thing was it was a little Loud and we couldn’t hear ourselves but that wasn’t to much of a problem! It was also quite hot that day and we felt there needed to be a little more shade on the table far out, but then again that was our fault for coming on a hot day and should’ve sat inside! I thought it was actually awesome only downside was noise! Easily avoided tho! So wonderful job with this place keep it up, we will come back!
A great country town pub, which offers a large varieties of eating areas. The meals are substantial and tasty and not to mention the staff being friendly, and efficient. We were there at the 9pm New Years fireworks which catered for at least 500 people; and it took only 20 minutes to get our meals. The atmosphere was great ending with the well staged fireworks.
Absolutely dreadful food! I had the pork belly, kimchi salad and rice. The pork belly was tough to the point inedible and the rice not fully cooked but also cold. Kimchi was ok. I told the waitress how bad my meal was and she reported it to the chef, I saw him peer through the kitchen but he didn’t come out to apologise etc so…$30 down the drain, despite they had $28 listed on the blackboard. I overhead the diner before me complain about being overcharged for the same but basically got a bad luck! While we were waiting for our meals one of the pub staff climbed up on a food service area with her manky runners to change the $ on the blackboard menu. (See photo) My partner had chicken schnitzel and said that was somewhat bland. He only ate half. The whole ordering and dining area is a real mess in there, diners don’t know where to line up as the cash register is placed at a thoroughfare to the back door so people are trying to line up amongst others trying to walk through. I was seated in the middle of that and had peoples butts at the back of my head whilst dining, I guess it was a good job I couldn’t eat that meal! They really need to move that cash register for ordering. Having travelled extensively this goes down as the worst pub meal I’ve ever had. Don’t bother replying to my review by saying “come in tomorrow and we’ll make it right” like you have with other recent reviews, the chef knew my meal was rubbish and that the waitress scraped the whole thing into the bin, he looked straight at me but didn’t bother to “make it right.” You know we are all travellers through the area and won’t be back that way. Just lift your game for future diners!
30 dollars for a chicken schnitzel smaller than my fist. Would not recommend. Wasn’t even tenderised, just a crumbed chewy breast.
Really packed local pub that offers lots of classic pub foods along with other unique selections. All the food was great except for the soup of the day (lobster bisque at the time) that was extremely salty for me and my fam. Overall great ambiance, packed with locals. Definitely book ahead before you come (was extremely lucky that I got a table at a busy night as almost all of the indoor space was pretty much booked)
